On the 21st of Nov I am planning on taking a 2N/3D Halong Bay trip. Upon return to Hanoi, we want to take the night train to Hue. Is this possible? Will we make it back to Hanoi in time for the train or are we cutting this too close?
You can see full timetable info for the Vietnamese rail network here: http://www.vr.com.vn/english/index.html -- I warn you now their site is SLOW -- even slower than the trains...
But by the looks of things there's an 11pm train out of Hanoi to Hue -- that should be more than late enough...

There is also a 7pm train, we just booked soft sleeper thru agent for $33 us and I think there is also a 10 pm train
