Hi all

Have posted on here before fretting over my itinerary but have finally decided what I'll be doing....Starting in December I am spending 10 days in Northern Thailand, then 2 weeks in Cambodia including a week of volunteer work at a bear sanctuary, then my last 2 weeks in Vietnam (Hanoi to Saigon)....I was thinking of flying home to Melbourne the day before my birthday (will be my 24th so nothing special) but am now thinking of maybe going to Phu Quoc island instead and extending my trip by a few days. Just wondering if someone can share their experience....have read many varying reviews of the island.....is there much to do? Weather nice in January? Solo female likely to be ok there? Oh, and accomodation recommendations? Have read heaps of reviews and nothing springs out at me
Cheers! Appreciate your help

recommend mango bay resort. i like the chalet style and the place are mostly crowded with other travellers. you should go before Phu quoc totally becomes another Phuket, too commercial. It's worth it, you cant know if you like it or not until you are there
, so give it a chance.

It can be quite hard to get reservations for PQ in high season - don't let it slip.
