Hi,
I will be in south vietnam in mid december before heading to cambodia.
what i really would like to visit is a national park.
i am interested in wildlife, trekking through tropical rainforest, staying at least one night in the jungle etc.
i know that there are plenty of national parks in south vietnam as well as in south cambodia.
can anyone recommend anything either in south vietnam (i will fly to saigon) or in the south of cambodia.
so far i considered going to either ream national park or botum national park in cambodia or nam cat tien national park in vietnam.
any ideas?

Hi,
From Saigon, you can visit Nam Cat Tien National Park, a tropical evergreen rain forest. you can trek deep into the nature and spend the night in a lodge at the headquarter of the park. at night, you can take a pick-up car to see the nightlife of many animals such as wildpig, deer, weasle,...
Then go up The Central Highlands for visiting Yok Don National Park, the largest one in Vietnam. The forest is very different from others, deciduous forest, where you can trek through. Elephant trekking is available here and you can do a 1 day, 2 days or 3 days guided tour, sleep in a tent camping nearby the Serepok river or stay in a long house on stilts near the park. Some travel agencies in Buon Ma Thuot offer this tour depart from the city.
After visiting the 2 parks, you can go to Cambodia through Le Thanh border crossing in Pleiku.
