hi, need an accommodation in bac ha this weekend. would love to know if there is any good clean cheap hotel/ hostels to recommend? do we need to book ahead? your prompt advice is highly appreciated. many thanks!

hi, been to bac ha this sunday for the fabulous sunday market. worth a visit. we've booked ourselves a clean nice hotel there (sao mai at $20, not staff aren't particularly friendly though). for anyone who wants to visit there, you expect to pay D50k each for public transport from lao cai to bacha. it is the price for foreigner!! we met some who actually paid D100k!!
