travel via mekong delta to cambodia

  • netstar

A friend and I want to travel to cambodia via the mekong delta (starting out in Saigon). I have heard people talk about delta adventures. Do they do a 2 day trip? We have a pretty tight schedule.

    thanks

Just about every travel agent in Pham Ngu Lao (Saigon) will offer to set you up for this -- you can book a Saigon through Phnom Penh two night three day trip for as little as US$25 all inclusive (except for food and drink).

Trip tends to spend one night in Can Tho and the other in Chau Doc.

You can also do it yourself, travelling by bus and minibus, but the vast majority opt for tours.

Delta has a pretty good reputation.

Not sure about a two day trip all the way to Phnom Penh -- it would be pretty rushed...

    Just a short note:
two day trip is also possible, we paid US$22 per person in January 2007.
Trip encluded "sight seeing" (minority village, floating market, swimming
fish farm, etc.), we spent one half of the trip time in the bus and the other
half on a slow boat through the mekong delta. Nice trip!
