What is required to get a visa-on-arrival for the HCM airport through an online service?
Is an onward air ticket necessary?
Is a minimum amount of funds needed?
Do you only give letter, passport and application at the airport?
TIA
We arrived in Hanoi a week ago using VOA through myvietnamvisa.com. No problems. We printed out the approval letters and filled out the application forms before leaving home. On arrival in Hanoi we handed over passports, letters, applications and pictures. A few minutes and $50USD each later we had our visas. If you arrive without the application form or picture you can get them there.

Do not mistake the application form mentioned as being an approval letter. You must be in possession of an approval letter, issued by an agent before arriving in Vietnam. Without one (or an embassy issued visa already in your passport) most airlines will not let you board anyway.
You don't need to be in possession of an onward flight (lots of people exit by land through Cambodia etc.or a set amount of money - indeed the only question that I was asked at immigration is what flight number did I arrive on, as even the white arrival /custom card has also been done away with. For some reason some airlines continue to issue it even though it isn't required to be filled in.
Might be of some advantage to read ........... http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g293921-c148049/Vietnam:Faq.Visa.On.Arrival.Voa..html
which is a full blow by blow account of the process through HCMC.

I suggest you look at one of the Visa on Arrival provider websites such as www.vietnamstay.com, www.myvietnamvisa.com or www.visa-vietnam.org. There are a few discussions on this site about it too.
