Cyclos are considered as a means that cause traffic jam in Hanoi , so that it is going to be banned by Hanoi Government. In spite of these problems, we should not do that. Do you think so?
Acknowledged. However, let's imagine we did have a voice .... given cyclos only really stick around Old Quarter and up towards the temples on West Lake / Truc Bachand down to the Opera House, they can hardly be blamed for the traffic problems of Hanoi. And whilst yes, they can cause traffic jams in OQ, they no more do so than cars stopping in the middle of the road, motorbikes driving the wrong way down one way streets, people -- especially street vendors -- walking in the road (as there's no room on the pavements) etc. etc. Why penalise them alone? Maybe however, there should be a limit to how many are allowed to follow each other like a snake full of tourists -- that's what causes the most problems.

Vietnam has a closed system of government, so what anyone else thinks doesn't matter much.
