Saigon to Hanoi - and Saigon to Bangkok

    Hi

    Can anyone let me know what it would cost to fly from Saigon to Hanoi one way? Also from Saigon to Bangkok one way? Is there a cheap local airline website we can book these flights through before we leave? Are they reliable (ie if we prebook and pay, are we certain they are going to have a ticket when we get there!)

    Our international flight comes into Saigon and we need a connection to either Hanoi or Bangkok (unsure which one yet). Unfortunately all the travel agents here are quoting us $200-$300 each for these trips so we thought it might be better and cheaper to organise this through a local airline.

    Hi Debbie,

    The two main domestic carriers in Vietnam are Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines. The former's website has been under reconstruction seemingly forever, but Pacific's has the following:

    Promotion Fare 1.260.000 one way 2.520.000 return (all in dong)

    Exchange rate is around 16,000 dong to US$1, so that's quite a bit cheaper than the rates the agents are giving you. Note you need to buy the ticket in Vietnam.
