Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone can help me out in arranging travel from Ho Chi Minh to Bangkok. Flights are looking really expensive so just wondering if anyone had any advice re routes, airlines etc.
Thanks.
Pauline
THAI is generally about the cheapest carrier on this route, but they're still not all that cheap.
There's a few budget options:
a) Overland to Phnom Penh (US$6, 1 day) then AirAsia to Bangkok. Plus Cambodia visa fee.
b) Tiger Airways to Singapore then to Bangkok (yeah I know its a scenic route, but it is generally cheaper than the THAI fare)
c) Overland all the way through Cambodia to Bangkok (circa $40-50, 2 very long days. Plus Cambodia visa fee.)
d) Lufthansa had a deal going for a while -- may be worth seeing if that is still going.
Cheers for that! Ended up booking with Vietnam airlines for $150-bit on the expensive side, but we got stuck for time, so better than wasting a whole day or two travelling. Thanks for your help.
