This is my first time to Vietnam and I have only 8 days. Arrival and departure in Hanoi airport.
Basically will focus more in Hanoi. I will be travel next week. I have list out some places which I would like to explore and please suggest some other places which can fit into my schedule. I love food and also any good or nice food to recommend, thank you!!!
1st & 2nd day- Stay in Old Quarter and explore the city (what and where can I explore?)
3rd day- Grab an overnight train to Lao Cao, then SAPA
4th day- SAPA (is it sufficient?)
5th day- Over night train back to Hanoi
6th day- 2D/1N cruise in Halong Bay
7th day- still free
Any opinion and suggestion will be much appreciate:)

That's a pretty common approach, a few days in hanoi, a few in Sapa and a trip to Ha Long Bay . Here are some links to more stuff to do in Hanoi and Sapa:
