What is the best way to travel from Vietnam to Singapore? are there any ferrys etc?

Mmmm... no ferries that I've ever heard of. There might be some cruise ships that do that sort of distance.
Quickest way is to fly. (2-3 hours)
Slowest way is overland via Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia - but it'll take a bit longer than a day. (2-3 weeks)

You will have to book a plane. You can't do a road travel unless you are intending to visit malaysia on the way. Tiger airways and jetstar is one of the budget airlines
