I've stayed there a number of times -- the location is excellent, rooms spotless and spacious and excellent in-room ADSL internet (my main criteria). It's expensive by Pham Ngu Lao rates, but if you need in-room internet, it's very difficult to beat.
Good staff too - on one stay I was delirious for a few days after a bad bout of poisoning, and the staff took good care of me -- bringing me water etc ... the manager later said he just wanted to check I wasn't dead as that would have been a big headache...

We stayed at the Anan last April and had a great room with very nice staff. We have reserved again to stay there this June. It is a little expensive, but seems well worth it. Also, there is a lady who sets up her kitchen outside the hotel each morning and makes the most delicious omlettes we've ever had - all for 35 cents! I think you will enjoy your stay!
