We arrive in Saigon on 13th December, and depart Hanoi on 16th January. Are there any Holidays or Festivals we should be aware of during that time, that may affect our accommodation or travel?
Our plan is Saigon - Mekong - Vung Tau/Nui Dat - Da Lat - Nha Trang - Buon Ma Thuot - Pleiku - Qui Nhon - Hoi An - DaNang - Hue - Hanoi - Sapa - Ha Long.
We are very flexible, and realise that this is a very optimistic itinerary.
The only absolutes are Mekong, Vung Tau/Nui Dat, Buon Ma Thuot, Hue, Sapa, Ha Long.
We intend using buses and trains for travel.
Thanks, UsTwo

Of course, there's Christmas and New Year, so there might be more holidaymakers here which could affect accommodation prices and availability, but this is unlikely to cause you problems. New Year's Day is a public holiday and falls on a Sunday next year so will be taken on the Monday which means people might be more likely to go away / home for the weekend and thus public transport might be a bit busier than usual. As long as you have some flexibility and book for around that weekend as soon as you can, I wouldn't worry.
