Last night and today flooding in Hoi An with up to about 1.5 - 2 meters water level on roads in the Ancient Town. Water levels seem to be coming down. Combination of heavy rains plus dam upriver being openned causing floods. Beware anyone coming to Hoi An!

It happens each and every year about this time in Hoi An and Hue - no biggie really, and travelers need not avoid these areas for very long

In Hoi An at the moment and the water has gone down quite a bit in the last 24hours, still able to get in and out on the main roads so no biggie really.

Do you have any updates on the flooding situation? I booked a bus ticket for tonight to Hoi An a couple of days ago and I am considering to re-schedule. Have the water levels decreased or is it still flooded? Thanks!

Floods are fine now. Water has gone back into the river and the clean up is almost complete. City getting back to normal
