buying train tickets abroad

    Has anyone had experience buying Vietnamese train tickets,outside Vietnam on the web?I found a lot of useful train info on the seat 61 website,i.e.,you must contact an actual travel service in Vietnam who will get the actual tickets for you,and send them to your hotel.I've e-mailed two different travel agents twice,and have not heard back.A bit frustrating.

    Hi I used Vietnamimpressive with no problems in 2010. Prompt quick replies, tickets were delivered to my hotel in Hanoi for two separate journeys and waiting there when I checked in. Had no problems at all.

    Thanks,that was one of the companies I e-mailed.Maybe they are just busy.
