Hello, I am going to Vietnam tomorrow. I currently live in Japan so all of my money is in Japanese yen. Though, I do have money via my debit card back in the states.
Here are my options. which is the best one
1. Convert my japanese yen to U.S dollars at the airport in japan.
2. Use my debit card in Vietnam to get U.S dollars or VND.
3. Convert my Yen to VND once i get to vietnam (i dont know how viable this is but I wanted to put it out there).
I know that generally airports dont give good rates but the airport in Japan gives decent yen to dollar rates. Also i dont have time to get my Yen to U.S dollars any other way.
Any insight or tips would be very appreciated.
Ill be checking this throughout the day and until I leave tomorrow in about 24 hours.

You only need Dong in Vietnam - use your debit card (ANZ Bank is the best bank for travelers in VN)
