As those of us resident in VietNam are discovering, overseas InterNet communications are proving difficult, especially during business hours.
The problem is that fishermen have discovered that fishing for fibre optic cable is more profitable than fish and that Chinese crooks are willing buyers.
Vietnat has only ONE cable surviving linking it to overseas in working order.
The fibre cable support ship from Singapore is working overtime trying to keep up to date with repairs / replacement.
Users in northern VietNam are less affected as the connections through Da Nang and Ha Noi are less affected and are supplimented by the fishermens activities as there is a multi-terrabyte connection that runs through the Friendship Pass and HongKong.
