Hi
I am flying into Bangkok middle of May for a month and would like to spend the last 2 weeks (10 days) on the south islands of Thailand and the first 2 weeks in Vietnam / Cambodia ?? Have looked into Cambodia for 2 weeks but now the girlfriend says maybe Vietnam?? Has any body got any recomendations of Good cheap beaches / islands in Vietnam (looking for beach hut accomadation ) also would like a little culture for maybe a couple of days at the end away from the beaches?
Can anybody recomend Vietnam or Cambodia (Middle of May)??
Thanks for any info!

Hi woody,
Have you considered Mui Ne?
While it doesn't have loads in the way of Thai-style bungalows, it does have some great budget stuff, including Hong Di, Keng and Small Garden -- all of which are excellent backpacker options...

There's also Phu Quoc off the coast of South West Vietnam, I think it's about US$100 return from Saigon.

I also recommend Phu Quoc, it's more romantic in compare with Mui Ne.

I personally didn't like mui ne..smelt too much of fish! Na Trang was much better (but apparently dangerous at night along the beach area).
