Hi I will be travelling to Vietnam (on points) in December. I need to get to Cambodia for a couple of weeks of volunteer work and was wondering if there are relatively cheap flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh?

The term 'relatively cheap' doesn't apply to this monopolised route.
The best way is to do what most do - take the bus and see the countryside. Prices are USD$7-12 - the latter is via a decent international bus run by Mai Linh.
If you are coming back to VietNam after your Cambodian sojourn, make sure you get your VN visa endorsed for multiple entry (and possibly extend its validity for no extra cost).
