I am doing an 8 week volunteering program working with an NGO in Hanoi that starts July 7th. I have decided to flying into Bangkok two weeks beforehand, June 23rd and do some travelling around the region before my programme begins. So far I am planning to fly from Bangkok to Hanoi July 6th with Air Asia, the flights are only 50 euro one way and this seems to be a reasonable deal.

However I am pretty set on going to Siem Reap for Angkor Wat and this would mean having to return to Thailand just to fly out from Bangkok. I heard Air Asia have the best prices in the area but they are quite limited in their flights as there are no other cities in the area I could to fly to Hanoi from.

Am just wondering does anyone know of any flights that go to Hanoi from Siem Reap or even Phnom Penh that are comparable with Air Asia's prices?

Vietnam Airlines, via Luang Prabang, used to do this route but I am not sure if they still do.

    "comparable with Air Asia's prices?"

Probably not, but I don't think many carriers are comparable with AA.

Alternatively, a quick Skyscanner search should throw up all available option.
