Hello all,
A couple of questions regarding this apparently new hotel on Cua Dai Beach.
Has anyone stayed there or heard any reports on the Sea and Sand? It seems pretty good value for money compared to the resorts on Cua Dai Beach.
Whilst in Hoi An, we'd like to stay somewhere a bit more upmarket but not so much that we will be paying $100+ a night. Any other recommendations?

You can stay in Hoi An Beach resort, this resort has great view to the ocean. The Resort consist of many villas built in the style of a traditional Vietnamese Village. It has 85 rooms equipped with modern comforts and all the services expected in a modern international standard resort. Beach Resort offers travellers the highest standard international accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Price from 65 usd - 150 USd.

I was in Vietnam with a few friends in Feb this year and stayed at the Hoi An Beach Resort. We loved it because it was beautiful and sufficiently upmarket without being stuffy.
Whilst we were there we discovered the Sea and Sand Hotel close by to the Hoi An Beach Resort and had a quick look inside the foyer. It looked to be about 2 star but clean and good quality. The receptionist was very friendly and happy to answer any questions.
If you want the "resort" experience my recommendation is to stay at the Hoi An Beach Resort, particularly if you can stretch the budget, otherwise the Sea and Sand Hotel looks like a good budget alternative that is close by, although not on the river and a little further away from the beach.

Hoi An Beach Resort is ok (big comfortable rooms), esp. the river view rooms. As there is a road between the hotel and the beach (lined with trees) seaview is not the best option and there is no direct access from the hotel to the beach. Apart from that the hotel is good value and service is ok. Another option could be the Sandy Beach Resort, 4-starish with 2 pools and located on China Beach, 20 km from Hoi An and 10 km from Danang. New and not a bad option, still under 100 USD at the moment.
