The best option is bus - allow 6 hours, although some OpenTour bus operators do a diversion to the east so they can exchange passengers with Mui Ne bus connections which adds two hours o the journey.

Your BEST bet is to use Mai Linh Express whose HCMC address is: 400A Le Hong Phong, District 10 Tel: +84-(0)-8929-2929. Da Lat is 308 kilometres from HCMC. The cost is VND80,000.

Cat Tien can be accessed by Xe Om - motorcycle - ask around.

    Recommended Da Lat accommodation is:
    /---------------------------
    Dreams Hotel
    151 & 164 B Phan Dinh Phung
    Da Lat, Lam Dong
    Tel: 063-833-748
    E-m: dreams@hcm.vnn.vn
    ---------------------------/

They now have two properties open on the same street.

Da Lat >> Nha Trang is also simple. Contact Mei Linh at +(0)-63-521-111 in Da Lat.

In Nha Trang, good accommodation can be found at:
    /---------------------------
BA TU (Room 203 is popular)
    34-G1 Nguyen Thien Thuat
    Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa
    Tel: 058-522-466
    Mobile: 0905-369-867
    ---------------------------/

Ninh Binh is a drop off point on the Ha Noi OT bus. Use either Mai inh or Sinh.

In Nha Trang I recommend the:
    /---------------------------
    Nguyen Tri Phuong Hotel
    56 Nguyen Tri Phuong
    Hue-Centre, TTH

    Tel: 054-829-282
    Fax: 054-849-482
    E-m: NguyenTriPhuongHotel@yahoo.com
    GPS: 16N27.97 / 107E35.64
    Rooms: 16, Largest: 4
    USD$4 (dorm); USD$8-12 other rooms.
