Perceptive Travel have an interesting story: Karsting Away in Vietnam -- well worth a read if you're looking to get a little off the beaten track in northern Vietnam.

Great article, sounds divine! Now I've got a real yen to go there!

I'm now in the Central Highlands and will be heading up to the northern region in the next 7-10 days. I'd love to travel through the areas described in the article (Karsting Away in Vietnam, http://www.perceptivetravel.com/issues/0308/buckley.html) - especially the Dongvan Plateau & Meovac.

Any takers? (The author rented mountain bike + van with others)
