Hello,
New to SE Asia, Vietnam is at the top of my list among places to visit. How is travel during July? Too rainy or are there some places still good to see in July?

All places are still good, there is a small difference between north and south Vietnam in terms of temp and rain fall, but it's all very visitable. It generally rains for a couple of hours then stops. Travel is cheaper.
VietNam has three or four distinctive weather areas.
Ha Noi and the north are temperate - similar to Europe; SaiGon and the Mekong are tropical; Hue through Hoi An are fall monsoon and the central highlands are cooler with magnificent thunder storms and rain.
