The Australian newspaper website is reporting that:

"Qantas is set to boost its presence in Southeast Asia by establishing a fleet of 30 Jetstar-branded aircraft in Vietnam. Qantas executives and Vietnamese officials will today unveil an agreement to change the name of Pacific Airlines, to Jetstar Pacific as part of a joint venture that will also lead to a fleet of 30 leased Airbus A320 aircraft being based in the country by 2014. The joint venture will initially grow services in Vietnam before expanding internationally from late this year to destinations likely to include Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia."

In a very smart marketing move, KFC will accept payment for Jetstar tickets when ordered by telephone or on-line.

Much easier than hunting down a ticket office!

well that explains a lot.
KFC accepting payments for an airline? Is that why the cancelled my ticket flight from Hue to Hanoi & reissued my ticket to fly out of Danang instead to Hanoi? All without notifying me. Forget the fact we are flying into Danang 5 days before & staying in Hoian for 3 nites then hiring a car to go to Hue & stay 2 nights. Thats why we booked & payed for our tickets so we could organise our accomodation etc. Now in order to use our tickets we have to pay to hire another car to get back to Danang to make our flights as well as cut our time short in Hue.
Not good customer service, hope they offer free chips with thaose tickets, you may need them whilst waiting for flight!
be sure & check your tickets if you've already booked & payed with Pacific.
