I'll be travelling to Hue sometime in June (early to mid) and i was wondering if anyone can tell me the hotel situation during that period.
From my understanding, the Hue Festival runs from 3-11 June, which will fill up most of the hotel rooms in Hue. In that case, should i book my hotel rooms now, or just skip Hue altogether?

You can guarantee most hotels will be filled to bursting. Vietnamese have been booking for months.
There are over 300 hotels in greater Hue and no one has all of them listed on the InterNet and you cannot rely on reservation systems, either, as the hotels prefer cash.
Don't skip Hue, it is worth a visit. Even KFC is opening a new branch for this years festival.

Try to contact directly and make arrangements to pre-pay for rooms.
I have deleted the prices as they rise 20% usually during national holidays.
The laneway at 66 Le Loi has a number of backpacker properties.
