Hi
We are two families with 4 children(aged from 5 to 11), spending some time in southern Vietnam over Christmas. Do you know how we can go about organising a homestay in the Mekong Delta? Also can you recommend a good place to actually spend Christmas eve/Christmas day. We are coming from Siem Reap and will be going on to Phu Quoc on 27 December. All advice welcome- many thanks

I suggest you contact this guide for the Mekong Delta:

Jason is very well thought of by all tourist clients that he's engaged - if you have any doubts, see the Vietnam forum at tripadvisor - glowing reviews! Regardless of whether you hire him to guide or not, Jason is more than willing to answer a question on Mekong Homestays - he was born there.

Hi there myrto
Very cheeky I know but can I ask what itinerary you are planning (ie. how you are getting from SR to PQ, how long journeys, etc) and how you got on with your homestay searches please? Weirdly so, we are 2 families with 4 children altogether (slightly younger than yours) who are arriving at Phu Quoc 22 Dec leaving 29 to head to the Mekong Delta then possibly up to Siem Reap! I may be able to share advice with you in return ... or maybe just buy you a beer on PQ! Thanks.
