Hi,

Could anyone recommend a good hotel/guest house that is mid range/price?

We will be staying on the island for 4 nights in January.

I spent just over a week on Phu Quoc in Feb 2007 - loved the island and the name of the place we stayed at was the Beach Club.... bungalows situated right on the water's edge. Back then we paid US$20 per night for a bungalow. Google their web-site - although the pictures don't do the place justice. The owner Mike and his Vietnamese wife are great hosts and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Saigon Phu Quoc, Blue Laagoon, and Lavender resort are good 4 star resort

Going to Phu Quoc in January, would love to hear from where you stayed, but i'm looking at Beach Club and Mango BAy Resort.

I was just wondering if anyone knew when exactly high season was on Phu Quoc; I'm guessing in the December-January timeframe? Thanks!

I stayed at Cassia Cottages last time and it was fabulous! (I have previously stayed at the Saigon Phu Quoc and MUCH preferred the family and friendly nature of Cassia. Staff were helpful, the hotel has a beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach, the food is excellent and the rooms were perfect. It also has a very nice swimming pool and terrace. I'd describe it more as a 'boutique' type hotel than one that caters for tour groups.
