Gday,
Just wondering if anyone has stayed at Thanh Quoc Hotel on Phu Quoc Island. It seems to be the only available hotel for Dec-Jan. Can't find any decent info on the web.
Any advice would be greatley appreciated.
Cheers,

Hi, Not stayed there but have stayed at a wonderful boutique place called Cassia Cottages. Friendly staff, mid-range budget, right on beach in a beautiful setting. Have also stayed at the Saigon Phu Quoc but rather upmarket and pretentious in comparison.

Cassia Cottages and Saigon Phu Quoc are booked, as are most of the popular PQ options - ie, Beach Club, etc.
Thanh Quoc seems to be the only available place, but I don't know anything about it.

I've never heard of it, though I know they take reservations online. If you take a look at our Phu Quoc Island page, towards the bottom you'll see links off to a bunch of hotels that take reservations -- we've not reviewed a lot of these places, but they'll probably be better than sleeping on the beach.
