Hello to those who have traveled from Vietnam to Laos. My husband and I are in Saigon but making out way up the coast and want to eventually slide over to Laos and on to LP. Our visa expires in 12 days so we need to make a move quick but want to see Nha Trang and Hoi An for sure first before we go over into Laos.
If anyone has done the trip overland and could share their story that would be awesome! Also please include if a Visa On Arrival was issued @ the boarder crossing into Laos.

I haven't made the trip, but I can verify that getting a visa at the border is no problem at all. That trip overland looks/sounds quite difficult, and a bus is the only way to do it on land. The air fare is expensive - something like $180. or more. I'm flying from Bangkok to Danang/Hoi An and it's about $196. one way.
