We plan to travel in May, we where told from a travel aqgent in HCM we can only book with them 1month in advance, is it best to book early? any ideas much appreciated.

Hi ron67
I never had to book 1 month in advance. When I go by train I book one day before or same day. Only if you want a soft sleeper you have to book some more days in advance. For me hard sleeper is OK. If you want more comfort then take the plane - it´s pretty cheap and saves a lot of time.
