flight HCMC to Siem Reap

We arrive from Canada in HCMC on 17th Feb late night (after 10 pm and very long flight) and want to get to Siem Reap asap i.e. next day - I can only find a flight on Vietnam airline. I've been reading that buying flights once we arrive in Vietnam is much cheaper but not sure how to go about doing that in advance and at reasonable cost. Is there a travel agent in HCMC I could contact, or Vietnam airline office?
Any other suggestions about other airlines & flights much appreciated.

I'm in the exact situation as the original poster. In addition, would I have any trouble getting back into Vietnam from Cambodia using my Visa On Arrival? Does it allow multiple entries? Thanks.

I emailed Buffalo tours located in HCMC and they got back to me to say they can book flight from HCMC to Siem Reap USD130 + tax 40 + service charge/credit card charge totaling around USD181.

Anyone know of a way to get a cheaper flight from HCMC to Siem Reap?

same problem here too.

I actually emailed vietnam airways and was told $164 to siam reap. i couldnt book over email or phone and had to go into the office when i arrived in HCM! Being a control freak and seial planner, im stuck?!

BTW i managed to book a flight, asked the guy were staying with in vietnam, seems its easy to do once you arrive in the country?

Uuummmmmmm.... Did you read the details about flight prices in the various posts here???

Did you try looking at the Vietnam Air website to answer your question re: office opening hours???

As in you flew with them and the plane didn't crash? That kind of luck? Bruce, didn't you fly with them once and survive?
