Just thought you would like to be aware that there has been an enhancement to the online booking engine used on the Vietnam Airlines site - the site now allows you to complete your booking in real time using your credit card - you no longer need to book in Vietnam or use a local agent. I have checked this for domestic flights - not sure it has been turned on yet for international but that is on their agenda.

Excellent tip. We were going to wait until we got to HCMC before buying flights to Phu Quoc but we've been able to buy them online at the price you would expect to pay in Vietnam. Thought it was too good to be true but it appears to have worked ok. Thanks.

Hi I am trying to book a Vietnam Airlines flight from HCM - to PHu Quoc from China... and no matter how many times I try I keep receiving a booking number, but then recieve an error message that the tickets cannot be purchased. The Vietnam airlines office in shanghai is trying to sell the tickets at double the website price, and refuse to accept cash payment for the online booking. Can anyone help!?
Plus I really need to book this ticket in advance as I land in HCM at Midnight and need to take the first plane to Phu Quoc... thanks :)

Vietnam airlines only works - successfully - when using Internet Explorer 7 or better. On this, go to:

You cna by from travel agency then they will send ticket to you by mail.
