I am booking a trip to see the Cu Chi tunnels and have no clue whether or not to add on the Cao Dai temple outside of Tay Ninh. I would love to hear from folks who have made the journey if they felt it was a good use of a half day, or if they would have passed on that portion were they able to do it again. Thanks.

We went there a few years ago as part of a day long trip to Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta. It was a very full and tiring day but good. We were at the Cao Dai Temple and it was amazing - it would have been interesting at any time but we arrived at lunchtime when they have something similar to a catholic "mass" and it was absolutely incredible. The priests are in beautiful robes and go in procession into the cathedral - fantastic "world" music that I can't describe.

If you can get your timing right for that ceremony, then go!

If you're already going to see Cu Chi, then it is worth seeing the CaoDai temple as well.
