Please can anyone tell me a cheap(ish) way to fly from HK to Ho Chi Minh around June 22nd?

There are no direct flights on that route that are especially cheap. You can either keep an eye on websites like Kayak for a discounted flight with Cathay Pacific or Dragonair (the former is your better bet), else you can fly via Bangkok or Singapore with one of the budget carriers -- will still work out cheaper than a full service fare, but obviously take longer and may have visa implications depending on your nationality.

Your best bet would be from Macau on Viva Macau Airlines. A friend recently got a quote on this route for US$93.
