What's a standard hotel deposit, particularly for for a longish stay? I'm trying to book a room for the month of April and another room for just one week that month (at the same hotel). Because I'm being asked to send the money via PayPal to what appears to be a personal account (ie., not specifically for the hotel), I want to make sure the transaction and my reservation are legitimate.

Difficult question, but I'd have thought one night's rent should be sufficient.

Unless you've seen that hotel/stayed there previously, I would not send any deposit. Many hotels do not require a deposit at all.

Everything is going down now. In my personal opinion no need spend time to make deposit, waste of time and money (bank fee will be paid event you made deposit throught Paypal). Come to Vietnam and deal with. Surely it will be fine
