In the mountainous regions of the country, temperatures will be much lower than this. Sapa area is likely to be around 16°C (61°F), and will probably drop to 10°C (50°F) in the evening. so warm clothing is required if you are traveling to hill tribe areas during the period

Hi,
We will be spending April in northern Vietnam and Laos. In particular, we are hoping to spend a few days trekking in Sapa and also northern Laos.
How cold is it likely to get at night in the Sapa area in April? We are trying to decide if we need to bring warm clothing.
Thank you.
