Mid Autumn Moon Festival

  • cheapswill

I read about a Mid Autumn Moon Festival that happens in China and Vietnam every year. I can't figure out when exactly the date is this year. I'm gonna be in Vietnam from October1-20 this year and I hope I can check it out.

Does anybody know the date for this year's festival and any events related to it?

    Hello,
Rene is right. You shouldn't miss Hoi An. This town will be the most wonderful place for the full moon festival.
In Hoi An, the Full Moon Festival is held on every 14th day of the lunar month. The festival starts around 6.00pm when the whole of HoiAn town is lighted with only dainty lanterns and everyone takes a stroll on the old narrow streets absolutely free from the sound of vehicles engine.
And in The Mid Autumn Festival, Hoi An will be in the most wonderful lantern night on the year.
    Cheers
