I do not agree with link for Central VN based on personal experience over last 7 years.
NE wet monsoon lasts early September (even end of August) until at least mid December and the last few years this has extended as late as early February! This is the only weather system to really be worried about because of dangers of typhoons, rains, flooding, etc.
Late May - mid June weather is hot & humid. May is probably hottest month of the year.

It can rain quite heavily in Hanoi and HCMC in May and June (but there will still be plenty of mostly dry days) while there will probably be far less rain in the middle- in fact this is usually the driest time in the central coast. It's likely to be pretty hot though.

Thanks.
I've already read the link though and it conflicts with info from other sites. Just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience...?
