We've had a little mishap with the postal service and the shoes that were to be delivered are not going to get here by our departure date. :(
Anyone think that there is a chance that we could find a pair of merrels in HCM city?

You can find any kind of footwear you desire in Vietnam provided you don't have big feet. A friend of mine wears a size 13 US and needed to find a pair of dress shoes. Not an east task for a size 13 up to about size 11 you will be fine. Hope this helps.

Itchyfeet, go directly to Le Thi Hong Gam str, just take a short ramp from the intersection at Pho Duc Chinh str to Calmette, there's more than 20 stores selling both old and new shoes adjacenting together...At this place, you can freely choose any merrel-like shoes you want, these shops there display all kinds of unique shoes from foreign labeled designing shoes to market shoes.
Have good trip in Saigon!

Thanks guys for your response. Unfortunately, Neil, I'm looking for a 12.5 shoes...but Bristol, thanks for the tip! It sounds like that's where I need to go. Cheers.
