We made the mistake of not investigating our tour (first tour of trip) - it was the worst tour of our adventure. Homestay was overbooked by 8 people - got there very late - everyone was hungry and crabby. We had to sleep in the owners bed with no linens, one guy had to sleep in a hammock on the porch - started raining at 0330...he was not happy. Guide spoke such poor English that we never really knew where we were going - once we thought we going to a brick factory, some thought a bread factory, we ended up at a bamboo bridge...go figure. The bus almost left me and another girl at a rest stop....Ask around before booking - would have saved us a bunch of irritation.
