I typed a much longer message that didn't post but to summarize I booked my Ha Long Bay cruise through Hanoi Backpackers Hostel and was impressed with everything, boat, food, crowd etc. To put that in context I am a single 23 year old American guy with a penchant for partying.

Also enjoyed Backpackers house in Nha Trang and had a good experience booking tours with Delta adventure tours in Saigon.
