Hey all, just trying to decide between flying from HCMC to phu quoc for a few days then flying from HCMC to Hanoi OR
Travelling up the coast stopping at Nha Trang and Hoi an on the way to Hanoi by train??

Would I miss much not going to phu quoc as im leaning more towards the train travel so i can see more of the country side of Vietnam?

As a beach destination Phu Quoc and Nha Trang are apples and oranges. Phu Quoc is a vastly superior destination in my opinion. That said there are no trains to Phu Quoc!

Have you considered a different mainland destination, eg Hue and going to PQ and there? That way you get the beach and the train trip.
