My best friend her daughters and I are arriving in Saigon Xmas day and meeting up with my daughter.
Is there any special suggestions to do Xmas Vietnam style.
After 18 years spending xmas under canvas in rural Australia this is going to be a real change!

I will also be in HCMC on Xmas day with my three daughters! We will have arrived late on the 23rd. Altho we are on a budget backpackers trip I think we are going to splurge on a gorgeous Vietnamese meal at a restaurant called Mandarine, complete with traditional music.

There are very few 'Christmas' celebrations by most Vietnamese - increasingly some get a day off - although all the white residents can be found in various churches (RC cathedral is at the high numbered end of Dong Khoi Street) often followed by what the Vietnamese think is Christmas lunch / dinner at various hotels around town.
It's hard to feel like Christmas with temperatures in the 70's (F).
