Luvmedic: Doubtless, that's true. But with a bungee cable attached? It would be a short ride.

Hey TomHK,
I think what the others are meaning to say is, Vietnam still has no McDonald's, and as far as any of us know, it still has no bungee jumping outfits either. I don't doubt that a few years from now it will, but the attractions here haven't quite gotten to that point yet.

TomHK: as per Rawjer's clarification, I've never heard nor read of any bunjee opportunities in Viet Nam. Closest thing, I guess, would be the river jumps at Vang Vieng, Lao PDR.

According to this website http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_with_McDonald's_franchises#Countries_without_McDonald.27s_locations there are none in either Viet Nam, Cambodia or Lao. Thank heavens for backwaters.......
They make up for the lack of McBurgers in VN with all the Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets.

Yeah, KFC is big here too. We even have an outlett here.
I'm not a big McD's fan anyway. But it's the principal. Every now and then a burger from McD's is the thing to have. I always get one when I'm in BKK.

Yep....a Korean outfit, so I'm led to believe. Just as big as McD maybe bigger as they seem to have an outlet on nigh on every corner. Not quite the same taste though. KFC is big here too as is Pizza Hut. All very cheap!

Yeah, I've seen lots of Kentucky Ga Ran around. One in Ha Noi was very high style.

Concerning bungee jumping, I must say that when I was in Nepal (a country with much less tourism than Vietnam), in the middle of nowhere they had bungee jumping oportunity.
Who knows, you might find it in Vietnam...
