safest hostel for a lady travelling alone in saigon

    Hi!

    Im planning to go to Saigon towards the end of September. What hostel/inns can you recommend? I'll be travelling alone and i'm a girl, so safety has to be a big factor. Hope the hostel/inn is near shops.

    Any of the places recommended in the Ho Chi Minh City accommodation listings would be a good start. What sort of budget are you considering? The AnAn is a good flashpacker option. Saigon is covered in shops so no prob there.

    many thanks for the reply. budget is a max of USD20 per night.

    any recommendation on a local tour guide and car rental?

    this is my very first trip to saigon :)
