In the Khe Ro forest in Bac Giang province (about 150km from Hanoi) there is a commune of local ethnic minorities in An Lac. CSDS (Center for Sustainable Development Studies), a non-profit organisation is working with other international NGO's, volunteers and the locals to develop sustainable community based ecotourism in the area.
There are 5 homestays and visitors are catered for by local families with authentic natural food. In the are there are several tours and treks through untouched, pristine forest, up mountains and passed waterfalls with fresh water for swimming in.[img]http://eng.anlac-khero.com/uploaded/2.2.JPG[/img]
Ideal for a night or two or even a day trip to share the cultural heritage of the locals and get in touch with nature while contributing to their sustainable lifestyles.
