After a night in a place recommended by LP, with useless staff it was tiome to move. I can't recommend enough the Xuan Mai Hotel, 140 Cong Quynh, Dist 1, HCMC. Tel: (84-8) 291-2860. The owner speaks perfect English, servers breakfast after normal time. Rooms are spotless, free WIFI, all for 20$ a night. After 6 months travelling around South East Asia, this place is a 9/10. Rare as you will all know. Great location just 2 minutes from the main backpacker area. Check it out, E-mail them on xuan_mai_hotel@yahoo.com

Thank you for the information. Agreed with VANDANGO22. Xuan Mai Hotel is spotless, conveniently located with extremely good services. We booked tours through the front desk and we picked up on time unlike previous experience I had in Hue and HaNoi.
The rooms are wi-fied with LAN line as well. Breakfast on the terrace with view of the city is a pleasanr start for the day. HIGHLY RECOMMED.
