Van Xuan, a budget guest house, just off Le Loi, at 10 Pham Ngu Lao Street, owned by an elderly and honest couple, is an excellent value at $6, with basic rooms, AC, fan, hot water and fast WiFi. Large common balcony fronts all rooms. Especially good for the older traveler.
