Hi ya

Just a couple of questions about extending the Laos Visa. As I understand it I can only a 15 day visa when crossing from Chiang Khong to Huay Xai.

Can I extend the visa in Luang Phabang and do I have to have it extended before the 15 days are up ?

Thanks for your help and great site by the way.

Jono

Hi Jono,

Welcome to Travelfish and glad to hear you like the site!

Visa on entry to Laos is now 30 days - not 15. Visas can be extended in Vientiane, though I'm not sure about Luang Prabang.

Travelfish Guide to Luang Prabang - just US$4.95

Hi Somtam

OK. Thats good news about the visa being 30 days now, as I'll be there for 21 days so won't need to worry about an extension now.

Thanks

Jono
